Dear OurJax Members,
We all are waiting to see what, if anything, the U.S. Attorney’s Office will do when its current grand jury session ends. The federal grand jury is looking into the failed effort to sell JEA.
According to Nate Monroe and the Florida Times-Union, a key witness testifying today before the grand jury is former City Council auditor Kyle Billy. It was Billy’s diligence and dedication that uncovered the scheme to pay JEA executives as much as a $1 billion bonus if the JEA was sold.
In our continuing effort to keep you informed, below is the article which appeared in Friday’s Times-Union.
Thank you for believing in Jacksonville!
